Overview

Higher Level Teaching Assistant - KS1 & KS2 Support, Brent (commutable from Harlesden, Willesden, Wembley, Neasden, Cricklewood). £110-£130 per day. Start Date: Immediate. Contract: Full-time, long-term (Full Academic Year).

About the Role

Long Term Futures is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Brent to recruit a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). This pivotal role offers the opportunity to support learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, deliver planned lessons, and provide targeted interventions to help all pupils make strong progress.

  • Delivering high quality PPA cover lessons using teacher planning and school schemes of work.
  • Supporting whole class learning with confidence and strong behaviour management.
  • Leading small group and intervention work in English, maths, and wellbeing programmes.
  • Adapting resources and scaffolding tasks to support pupils with additional needs.
  • Working collaboratively with class teachers, SENCo and senior leaders to ensure continuity of learning.
  • Modelling excellent practice and contributing to a positive learning culture.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Experience working as an HLTA, Senior TA or highly skilled Teaching Assistant.
  • Skilled in delivering lessons and supporting learning across KS1 and KS2.
  • Strong behaviour management with a calm, consistent approach.
  • Secure subject knowledge in core curriculum areas and an ability to differentiate support.
  • A proactive team player with excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Professional, adaptable, and able to build rapport with pupils and staff alike.
