St Joseph's Primary School in Ramsbottom is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our warm and welcoming team on a part-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils across the school and contribute to high-quality teaching and learning in a nurturing, faith-led environment.
We are looking for an HLTA who can:
Work effectively across KS1 and KS2, delivering pre-planned lessons and interventions
Support the class teacher with classroom management, planning, and assessment
Cover PPA sessions and provide occasional whole-class supervision
Offer targeted support for pupils, including small group and one-to-one interventions
Contribute positively to the spiritual and academic life of the school
HLTA status or relevant Level 4 qualification (or equivalent experience)
Experience supporting teaching and learning in a primary school setting
Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills
A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and the ethos of a Catholic school
