Qualifications

  • Fully qualified HGV Trailer Technician with City & Guilds / NVQ level 3.
  • Double deck maintenance experience is desirable.
  • HGV licence Class 1 is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out maintenance, repairs and modification work on HGV trailers.
  • Undertake pre MOT checks and necessary repairs.
  • Conduct QC tests and present trailers for MOT.

About your new company

My client is a large family run logistics company who have been established over 100 years. My client has won many awards for their outstanding work and boasts a fleet of over 500 vehicles. due to their continued success, they are now looking for a skilled HGV Trailer Technician to join their ever-growing team.

About your new HGV Trailer Technician role
  • You will carry out maintenance, repairs and modification work on the fleet of HGV trailers and provide technical support from fault analysis through to competition.
  • You will be required to undertake pre MOT checks and undertake any repairs that are required.
  • You will be required to do QC tests and presenting trailers for MOT’s
  • General HGV Trailer Technician duties
The successful HGV Trailer Technician will require
  • You will have an in-depth knowledge of commercial vehicles and HGV trailers
  • Hold an HGV licence Class 1 (desirable but not essential)
  • Be a fully qualified HGV Trailer Technician with City & Guilds / NVQ level 3 in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair
  • Double deck maintenance experience is desirable
  • Welding experience is desirable
