Job summary

A fleet maintenance company in Knottingley is seeking an experienced HGV Trailer Technician to maintain and repair their fleet of trailers. Candidates should have a deep understanding of commercial vehicles, preferably hold a Class 1 HGV licence, and be qualified in heavy vehicle maintenance. Qualifications

  • Must be a fully qualified HGV Trailer Technician.
  • Double deck maintenance experience is desirable.
  • Welding experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out maintenance, repairs and modifications on HGV trailers.
  • Undertake pre-MOT checks and required repairs.
  • Conduct QC tests and present trailers for MOTs.

HGV Trailer Technician

Location: Knottingley

Pay: £38,000 basic

Hours: Monday to Friday days

Overtime paid at 1.5

OTE: £42,000

About your new company

My client is a fleet maintenance company with over 20 depots across the UK. Due to their continued success they are now looking for skilled HGV Trailer Technicians to join their ever growing team.

About your new HGV Trailer Technician role
  • Carry out maintenance, repairs and modification work on the fleet of HGV trailers and provide technical support from fault analysis through to competition.
  • Undertake pre‑MOT checks and repairs that are required.
  • Do QC tests and present trailers for MOTs.
General HGV Trailer Technician duties

The successful HGV Trailer Technician will require:

  • An in‑depth knowledge of commercial vehicles and HGV trailers.
  • Hold an HGV licence Class 1 (desirable but not essential).
  • Be a fully qualified HGV Trailer Technician with City & Guilds / NVQ level 3 in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Double deck maintenance experience is desirable.
  • Welding experience is desirable.
