Qualifications

Job description

Job Title: HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter
Salary: £20-£22ph
Shift: 8am to 6pm - Monday to Friday (every other Saturday morning) – Overtime Rate 1.25
Type: Permanent
Location: Hounslow

We are looking for a HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter to join our client, a fast‑growing and busy workshop in Hounslow. You will be working on a wide range of vehicles including 80% Renault and the remaining 20% made up of Scania, DAF, Mercedes and MAN.

Responsibilities
  • Fast and accurate diagnoses using diagnostic tools and choosing the right repair techniques.
  • Work independently to maintain and repair vehicles and components.
  • Carry out a range of inspections (MOT, tacho, etc.).
  • Provide support and daily mentoring for less experienced technicians.
  • Carry out final checks on work that has been completed.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Time‑served HGV Technician or equivalent qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 preferred).
  • Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills.
  • Extensive experience in carrying out repairs and maintenance on trucks, components and associated vehicles.
  • Familiarization with developments in the automotive industry.
  • Valid Driving License.
