Qualifications

  • Time-served HGV Technician or equivalent qualification is preferred.
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills are essential.
  • Experience in maintaining and repairing trucks and associated vehicles is required.
  • Familiarity with developments in the automotive industry is needed.
  • A valid driving license is mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Fast and accurate diagnostics using diagnostic tools.
  • Maintain and repair vehicles and components independently.
  • Conduct inspections like MOT and tacho.
  • Mentor less experienced technicians.
  • Perform final checks on completed work.

Skills

Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Extensive experience in repairs and maintenance on trucks
Familiarization with automotive industry developments

Education

Time-served HGV Technician or equivalent qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 preferred)
