Qualifications

  • Experience as an HGV Technician is preferred, but we welcome candidates fresh out of apprenticeship.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Level 3 qualification or Irtec.

  • Servicing, maintaining, and repairing fleet vehicles, focusing mainly on RCVs.
  • Diagnosing faults and repairing vehicles efficiently.
  • Working with a supportive, close-knit team who value good communication and collaboration.
  • Following health and safety standards at all times.

Job description
HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic

Rate: £19.78 per hour | 36.25 hours per week + overtime available

Contract: Permanent

Shift: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (4-day week) day shift

Hours: 7:00am to 4:45pm

We're looking for a reliable and skilled HGV Technician to join a busy, close-knit workshop team based in Leyland. This role involves working predominantly on fleet vehicles, with around 80% of the work on Refuse Collection Vehicles (RCVs).   • £19.78 per hour for a 36.25-hour week across 4 days
  • Opportunity for 6 hours overtime per week as needed paid x1.5
  • Overtime on a bank holiday paid at x3
