Join a busy commercial vehicle workshop in Manchester as an experienced HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Fitter. You’ll be working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, with a generous basic salary and access to healthcare, training, and long-term progression within a respected commercial vehicle group. This is a modern, well-equipped site with a supportive team and opportunities to upskill through manufacturer and IRTEC-accredited training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and inspections on HGVs and trailers
  • Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs
  • Complete structural and chassis repairs including welding when required
  • Ensure all work meets DVSA and manufacturer compliance standards
  • Keep accurate service records and complete relevant documentation
  • Contribute to a safe and efficient working environment
Skills and Qualifications
  • Essential
  • Experience working as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Fitter
  • Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
