Job summary

Job Overview

Interaction Recruitment is partnering with a South Yorkshire based company to hire a full‑time HGV Mechanic / Technician. This role is temporary‑to‑permanent for the right candidate and starts immediately / January 2026.

Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and a (C+E) or (C) licence. The position offers up to £58k DOE + benefits, Monday‑to‑Friday shifts from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm with a 1‑hour lunch break.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake all aspects of HGV & LGV inspection, service and repair to the highest standard.
• Undertake all aspects of trailer inspection, service and repair to the highest standard.
• Vehicle breakdown call‑outs – van provided.
• General servicing.
• Support reactive maintenance which may run outside normal working hours.
• MOT preparation.
• Truck bodywork construction.
• Fault finding and diagnosis – equipment provided.
• Work to DVSA standards.
