Qualifications

  • Fully qualified HGV Technician (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Experience maintaining large commercial fleets.
  • Cat C driving licence.
  • Experience with specialist hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance inspections and repairs as a qualified HGV Technician on all fleet vehicles.
  • Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs.
  • Plan and complete statutory inspections in consultation with management.
  • Conduct brake tests and post‑repair test drives to ensure all vehicles meet roadworthiness standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment.
  • Record all inspections and repairs accurately, either electronically or manually.
  • Occasionally work outside standard hours when operationally required.

Location: Derbyshire Dales, DE4 4HN
Salary: £41,000 + excellent benefits including 25 days annual leave, matched pension, and life insurance

The Opportunity

We're seeking a skilled HGV Technician (Level 5‑6) to join a dedicated team in Derbyshire. As an HGV Technician, you'll play a key role in maintaining, inspecting, and repairing a fleet of commercial vehicles to the highest industry standards. This hands‑on position is ideal for an experienced HGV Technician looking for a challenging and rewarding role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance inspections and repairs as a qualified HGV Technician on all fleet vehicles.
  • Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs.
  • Plan and complete statutory inspections in consultation with management.
  • Conduct brake tests and post‑repair test drives to ensure all vehicles meet roadworthiness standards.

What We're Looking For
