Qualifications

• Full Level 3 HGV / PSV apprenticeship qualification or equivalent.
• Experience as a technician in a similar role.
• Valid car/van driving licence; HGV licence is desirable.

• Carry out scheduled preventative service and maintenance inspections.

HGV Technician - Joining Bonus of £1,500 !!

Biffa Waste - Grimsby Depot

Shift Pattern: 0500 - 1400 / 0600 - 1500 / 1300 - 2200, Friday late 1200 - 2100; 3 alternating shifts – Overtime & Call Out Available

Monday to Friday (45hrs per week)

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair vehicles and waste management handling equipment to meet health and safety legislation and DVSA requirements.
• Carry out scheduled preventative service and maintenance inspections to meet Biffa's operator's licence commitments.

Our fleet ranges from light commercial vans to 44t articulated specialist assets, offering plenty of opportunities to learn and develop your technical knowledge.

Requirements

• Fully skilled – have achieved a full Level 3 HGV / PSV apprenticeship qualification, City and Guilds qualification or NVQ qualification.
• Technician level experience.
• Minimum of a car/van driving licence.
• HGV licence desirable.
• IRTEC qualification desirable.
