Job summary

A leading environmental services company in Wales seeks a dedicated driver to manage waste collection routes. Applicants must hold a Class 2 licence and demonstrate excellent time management skills. This role offers a competitive hourly wage, paid weekly, and a variety of benefits including annual leave and ongoing training opportunities. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in the waste industry and will need to comply with all traffic laws. Flexible working hours are required.

Qualifications

  • Essential: Class 2 (Cat C) licence, up to date CPC, and Digi / Tachograph Card required.
  • Excellent time management skills needed.
  • Desirable: RCV, Roro and Skip experience.

Responsibilities

  • Driving to planned collection locations and moving emptying multiple waste containers.
  • Lifting bins of all weights and sizes.
  • Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per our driver operator handbook.
  • Inputting information into the onboard system and submitting paperwork daily.
  • Complying with all traffic laws and legislation.
  • Ensuring the carriageway is left clean and any spillages are cleaned.

Overview

Salary: £14.06 per hour plus Veolia benefits - Paid weekly

Single person allowance: Earn an extra £11.00 daily on RCV routes completing over 100 bins.

Hours: 42.5 Hours per week, 06.30 starts. Finishing times may vary on occasions, therefore some flexibility is required.

Monday - Friday with some Saturday overtime on a rota basis (minimum 1 per month).

Location: Penrhyndeudraeth, Gwynedd, LL48 6LT

What you'll be doing
  • Driving to planned collection locations and moving and emptying multiple waste containers.
  • Lifting bins of all weights and sizes
  • Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per our driver operator handbook
  • Ensuring all information is input into the onboard system and all paperwork is kept up to date and submitted daily
  • Complying with all traffic laws and legislation including security and weight of loads
  • Ensuring that the carriageway is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up
What we're looking for

Essential:

  • Class 2 (Cat C) licence
  • Up to date CPC
  • Digi / Tachograph Card
  • Excellent time management skills

Desirable:

  • RCV, Roro and Skip experience would be a distinct advantage
  • Prior experience working in the Waste Industry
