Job description

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Hemel Hempstead area. We are looking for multiple HGV Drivers to join the team.

Shift

• Days - Across Monday to Sunday (weekend included)
• Afters - Across Monday to Sunday (weekend included)
• Nights- Sunday to Friday (Sunday's and Fridays included)

Pay Rate

• Class 2 - Days / Afters: £15.14 per hour PAYE
• Class 2 - Nights: £17.42 per hour PAYE

Job Type

Ongoing with the opportunity for permanent

The role

• Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.
• Handling runs with 1-2 stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
• Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
• Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement
• Valid and in date CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.
