Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.
• Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum of one year’s experience as an HGV Class 1 driver.
• Excellent driving record with no more than 6 points on your licence.
• Strong knowledge of UK road regulations and driving laws.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Physically fit to handle long-haul driving.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle.
• Transport goods between specified locations.
• Conduct pre-use and post-use inspections of the vehicle.
• Maintain records of deliveries, mileage, and hours worked.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with management and customers.
• Utilize navigation systems for route planning.
• Adhere to driving regulations regarding rest periods.
• Maintain professionalism in customer interactions.
• Work varying shifts, including nights and weekends.
