3.ORGANISATIONAL CHART
4.PRINCIPAL DUTIES & AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Todrive any Trust vehicle to undertake any duties relevant for the role.
Tomaintain vehicles in good working order and use it to maximum efficiency.Reporting faults and breakdowns immediately to the Facilities Supervisor. Atthe start of each shift carry out the appropriate vehicle checks and completethe vehicle record logs.
Tocomplete all relevant daily documentation and vehicle checks in compliancewith relevant statutory legislation and local codes of practice and qualitycontrol procedures.
Thepost holder must present their driving licence for inspection and recordingon an annual basis and promptly report any penalties or points in line withtrust policies and procedures.
Undertake training to operate different vehicle systems.
Downloadtachographs to record your periods of driving, work and rest, plus distancetravelled and vehicle speed.
Carryout lock up duties of vehicles as required.
Challengeindividuals in restricted areas who do not have identification and members ofstaff not wearing ID badges.
Assistin promoting initiatives for tackling violence and aggression against staffand health care professionals within the Trust (Zero Tolerance initiative),through innovation, education, prevention and detection routes, along withclose working relationships with the security.
Ensurean adequate supply of items/equipment necessary for the role are maintained.
Ensurethat all duties are carried out in line with quality control procedures usingstandard facilities documentation.
Toensure that the correct uniform and PPE is worn at all times whilst on duty.
Provideadvice to patients, relatives, other staff relating to security/safety ofothers in a conflict situation
Receiptof incoming deliveries/goods/products ensuring that all goods inwards arechecked against delivery notes and official orders. Ensuring that items meetquality and quantity specified and any good specific requirements.
Thecollection and delivery movement of patients, staff, food, goods, bloodproducts, clinic notes, post and pharmacy to all wards and departments.
Theremoval of waste carts to designated areas in line with Trust Policy.
Thetransfer of deceased patients from wards to the mortuary.
Touse the departments mobile communication system which coordinates the dailytasks which require undertaking.
Thegood housekeeping of the hospital/work environment and equipmentinternally/externally related to the specific job role using approved methodsand equipment/mechanical aids to national/Trust standards to ensure that aprofessional image is maintained at all times.
Operationand minor maintenance of all equipment necessary for the role to be used incompliance with standard operating procedures
Toundertake the duties of any of the specific job role ensuring that all theprocedures, correct practices are adhered resulting in excellent patientsatisfaction.
Ensuringall communications are responded to in an efficient/timely manner.
Tofollow all local method statements & risk assessments to ensure that therole is undertaken in a safe, secure manner.
Acton feedback given from any quality assurance system
Communicationwith allied health professionals/trust staff members to ensure that thepatients health and wellbeing is being maintained in helping to deliverexcellent clinical outcomes.
Toreport any faults/issues/complaints regarding service provision or equipmentimmediately to the supervisor or other appropriate senior Trust staff member
Tocomplete and record role specific data/information either electronically orin written format that is required complying with operational procedures orlocal/Trust/National policy and audit recommendations/controls.
Toprovide a warm profession welcome and supportive communication to patientsand visitors to the Trust, providing an efficient and courteous service.
Useand maintain any role specific databases/hardware/software, in accordancewith departmental guidelines.
Toensure that requests for information are dealt with in an efficient andtimely manner.
Toorganise and sort goods/items in an effectively manner for distributionacross the Trust sites according to schedules.
