A leading boiler service company in Reading is seeking a Service Engineer responsible for the maintenance of gas boilers and air source heat pumps. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience and plumbing qualifications. The role prioritizes quality over quantity with a maximum of 4 services a day and no weekend work. Qualifications

• S & Y plans knowledge is required.
• Any ASHP knowledge or training is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance of gas boilers and ASHPs.
• No emergency call-out or weekend work involved.
• Work directly in customers' homes, ensuring high service standards.

Overview

Package:

• Up to £48k base salary
• Overtime – time/half during week and double weekends but only if you want it! Mon - Fri work pattern.

Role

PPM, warranty, aftercare service and maintenance of the main boiler and ASHP manufacturers. No emergency call out or weekend work.

Experience Required

• At least 5 year b4s experience on servicing gas boilers and/or air source heat pumps (ASHP).
• Minimum level 2 plumbing and heating qualifications with G3 unvented.
• S & Y plans knowledge.
• Good knowledge on heating controls.
• It will be an advantage if you have heating electrics qualifications 6th Edition but not essential.
• Any ASHP knowledge, experience or training would be of great benefit.
• Good communication skills as you will be working in customers houses and the company is NPS scored on customer service.

One of the largest boiler service companies in the UK, along with ASHPs now. They have a large nationwide team of boiler service and ASHP service engineers so that each plumbing and heating service engineer works within a maximum of 40mins travel time of their home, ideally less than this. Quality not quantity is their priority so a maximum of 4 services a day depending on complexity. No selling of additional services or products. All their heating service engineers receive the highest level of training, especially on heat pumps as many are already accomplished boiler engineers. The company has increased the number of its engineers by 25% in the last year alone and is looking to increase by 50% next year due to the take up of their new online aftermarket warranty and aftercare packages for plumbing and heating aimed at gas boilers and air source heat pumps from the main manufacturers.
