A local government authority in the UK is seeking a Healthy Lifestyles Instructor to join their team at Dronfield Active. The role requires a Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification and a flexible approach to work hours. Candidates must possess knowledge of health and wellbeing activities and be willing to undertake additional qualifications within specified timeframes. A vacancy for a Healthy Lifestyles Instructor has arisen to join us at Dronfield Active.
Dronfield Active is sited in the town centre and comprises of sports halls, swimming pools, health and fitness suites, squash courts, meeting room and café.
Candidates must be exercise orientated, have a good understanding of a wide range of exercise activities and must hold a Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification. Exercise Referral Instructor and Cardiac Rehabilitation Instructor qualifications if not held are required to be undertaken and passed within 12 months. Group exercise teaching or instructing experience would be an advantage.
A flexible approach is required as the successful candidate may be required to work at Clay Cross Active, Killamarsh Active and Eckington Active as service needs dictate.
The successful candidates will be subject to a Disclosure carried out by the DBS at the Enhanced Level.
Please note that the post includes morning & evening shifts with alternate Saturday morning shifts.
Experience working in Exercise by Referral Schemes & delivering fitness classes are also important.
