Job Overview

We are looking for individuals with or without experience to work within Critical Care, to join the NHS family helping people from your local community. Healthcare support worker opportunities are available at Broomfield Critical Care unit, no experience no problem onsite training will be given. To us it is more important that you are a caring and kind person with a genuine desire to help and support patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Support patients with basic healthcare needs, including hygiene, personal care, and daily living activities.
  • Assist with rehabilitation activities as directed by clinical staff, promoting patient independence and recovery.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of care are maintained.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, and their families to support patient wellbeing and understanding.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work both as part of a team and independently, following instructions accurately and managing time effectively.

Our aim is to work together in partnership to join up health and care services, improving our populations health and wellbeing and reducing health inequalities. One such example of this collaborative work is the launch of our HCA Academy, an IC S initiative between Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) and Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust (MSEFT) to support the incoming Health Care assistant (HCA) workforce. The academy models a ‘one workforce’ cross system approach to the onboarding, induction, education, and experience of Healthcare Assistants. Successful candidates to this role will be able to access the additional support provided by the HCA Academy following their induction with MSEFT. This includes development opportunities, pastoral support, staff rewards and access to HCA exclusive resources such as HCA App.
