A leading healthcare provider is looking for a Healthcare Assistant in Leyland, England. You will support patients in a high-security prison and work as part of a primary care team. The position is full-time, requiring various shifts including nights, and offers an annual salary between £25,557 and £29,723. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join the team at HMP Garth, a high‑security Category B male prison located in Leyland. HMP Garth has a capacity of around 850 and houses men serving long‑term and indeterminate sentences.
This role sits within our Primary Care team, where you will support clinics, work with pharmacy and respond to emergency situations – no two days are ever the same.
This position is full‑time, 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis. The 8‑week rota is as follows: week 1 – Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday; week 2 – Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Shifts run from 07:30 to 19:45, with night shifts (19:45–07:30) during two of the weeks. The annual salary ranges from £25,557 to £29,723, depending on experience.
