We have an exciting opportunity in our Gloucester clinic for a Healthcare Assistant who wants to make a difference in our patients’ lives. You will provide patient care according to Diaverum procedures and to increase the quality of life for our patients. A comprehensive professional training programme will be provided, including on-the-job training, e-learning and access to our in-house education programme d Academy.
Under the supervision of a registered nurse, you will be expected to support the nursing team by undertaking a range of duties. Duties can include but are not limited to maintaining clean equipment following appropriate training, preparing supplies and packs for treatment, undertaking health checks with patients pre and post dialysis, escorting patients to the clinical and waiting areas, and serving refreshments during treatments.

As a Healthcare Assistant at our Gloucester Cotswold clinic, based at Gloucester hospital, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care following Diaverum procedures, ultimately improving our patients\' quality of life. Your Responsibilities:
Working under the supervision of a registered nurse, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Maintaining clean equipment following proper training.
• Preparing supplies and packs for treatment.
• Conducting health checks with patients before and after dialysis.
• Escorting patients to clinical and waiting areas.
• Serving refreshments during treatments.
Must be educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
Minimum NVQ level 2 in Health; Social Care or equivalent (preferably working towards level 3).
Ideally, previous experience in a hospital and healthcare setting.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
A positive and dynamic approach to delivering safe and effective care.
Excellent communication skills (oral + written) with fluency in English.
Part-time position, 34.5 hours per week, equates to 3 long days.
Monday to Saturday, with shift hours from 6:30am to 11:30pm (no nights or Sunday working).
Competitive salary of up to £24,474 depending on experience.
Overtime paid at time and a half after completing full-time hours (150 hours every 4 weeks).
