Job Summary

Healthcare Assistant - Lung Cancer Screening Programme

Location: South West covering sites in Swindon, Portsmouth and Fareham. Flexibility in travelling to different areas in SW is essential.

Salary: £23,542.83 + £4,200 Car Allowance

Travel: Full UK Driving Licence Required

Shifts: 12‑hour patterns, 3 days a week (8am‑8pm), including weekends and bank holidays

As a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) you will play a key role in delivering a professional, compassionate, and patient‑focused experience across our mobile screening sites in the South West.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and guide them through the screening journey with empathy and professionalism.
• Support clinical colleagues in delivering high‑quality care in a fast‑paced, mobile environment.
• Assist with patient handovers between screening and CT scan locations.
• Maintain accurate patient records, ensure data confidentiality, and help manage clinic flow and scheduling.
• Uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety and infection control.
• Contribute to a 7‑day service, including bank holidays, with occasional remote admin work.
