Job description
Overview

Healthcare Assistant We are seeking a pro-active individual, ideally from a healthcare background and preferably with an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care to join our clinic as a Healthcare Assistant in Yeovil Dialysis Unit.

Responsibilities
  • Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, prepare, restore and maintain areas and equipment for clinical treatments and investigations, and ensure that the treatment environment is safe for patients, relatives and visitors.
  • Work in an active role that involves extensive walking between patients and some lifting responsibilities.
  • Participate in regular training and guidance to develop knowledge of company practice, procedures and quality management.
  • Utilise computer skills and build strong working relationships with the team.
Role Details
  • Hours: full time, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Shifts: current days include varying shifts between 6:00 am and 6:30 pm (Monday – Sunday).
  • Clinic: 13 dialysis stations for patients with two shifts of daily sessions between 06:30 and 18:30; facilities include a main unit with 12 dialysis stations (three bays) and one isolation room with a dialysis station.
Qualifications
  • Ideally from a healthcare background and preferably with an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
  • Computer literacy and strong interpersonal skills are essential.
