Job summary

A respected principal contractor is seeking a Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Manager in the City of London. This role involves leading health and safety activities across various projects, managing compliance with health and safety legislation, and supporting the site teams. Candidates should have a NEBOSH Construction Certificate and proven experience in a similar role within the construction sector. This is a permanent full-time position with a salary of £75,000 inclusive of package.

A respected principal contractor would like to appoint a new Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Manager within the business.

Responsibilities
  • Leading site–based health and safety activities across multiple projects
  • Managing health, safety, environmental, quality policies, procedures and management systems.
  • Undertaking regular site inspections, audit, and investigation to ensure best practice is applied with the office and site, workplace environment.
  • Provide company advice, reports and guidance on statutory obligations, and compliance with the company management systems which are certificated to ISO: 9001, (phone number removed)
  • Ensuring all works comply with current health & safety legislation and best practices
  • Conducting site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Supporting the development and implementation of H&S policies and method statements
  • Delivering toolbox talks, inductions, and training to site operatives and management
  • Investigating and reporting incidents, ensuring lessons are learned and share
Attributes and Skills
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the construction sector
  • Strong understanding of CDM Regulations and site compliance
  • Proactive, confident communicator with strong organisational skills
  • Ability to influence and support both site teams and senior management with a collaborative approach.
