Job summary

A leading logistics provider in the UK is seeking a SHEQ Co-Ordinator to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include conducting audits, promoting a positive safety culture, and maintaining training documentation. Ideal candidates will have a NEBOSH General Certificate and experience in a transport or logistics environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential. Qualifications

To support the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) standards across the business.

The SHEQ Co‑Ordinator ensures compliance with legal and company requirements, promotes a positive safety culture, and drives initiatives that enhance operational performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct site audits, inspections, and risk assessments across depots and transport routes.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings to drivers and operational staff.
  • Maintain accident and incident records and report to relevant authorities as required.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001, BRCGS).
  • Control and maintain the company's Training matrix.
  • Conduct internal audits and assist with external audits and accreditations.
  • Monitor and report on KPIs related to SHEQ performance.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management.
  • Monthly meetings with the UK Head of Compliance.
  • Travel to other Rhenus UK Facilities will be required.
  • Maintain documentation and records to be always audit ready.
What You Bring
Skills & Experience Required
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (preferred)
  • Experience in a transport, logistics, or fleet environment (preferred)
  • Knowledge of UK SHEQ legislation and standards
