Job summary

A health services organization in Dundee is seeking a Health Improvement Worker to develop and implement health promotion activities. The ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant discipline and experience in health promotion or related areas. DIRECTORATE OF PUBLIC HEALTH

Health Improvement Worker

Salary Scale: £33,247 - £41,424 pro rata

Responsibilities

The post holder will contribute to the development, implementation and delivery of evidence-based health promotion activities with the overall aim of improving health of adults and young people in Tayside and reducing health inequalities.

The post holder will be required to travel to cover duties throughout a wide geographical area.

Qualifications

We require a degree, or equivalent, in relevant discipline and experience of working in health promotion or a related area. The post holder will require an understanding of the health improvement policy agenda, have good project management skills and experience of partnership working. Training, facilitation and group work skills are required as are research and evaluation and IT skills. Some experience of working within Health Improvement initiatives would be of advantage as this role will involve working closely with this priority area as well as the potential to work collaboratively across other areas within the Directorate.

Working Hours

30 hours per week (workable over 5 days per week, Monday to Friday).
