Working for our organisation

The Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System (ICS) brings together key health, care, community, and voluntary sector organisations from across our area. Our aim is to work together in partnership to join up health and care services, improving our population's health and wellbeing and reducing health inequalities. One such example of this collaborative work is the launch of our HCA Academy, an ICC initiative between Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) and Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust (MSEFT) to support the incoming Health Care assistant (HCA) workforce. The academy models a ‘one workforce’ cross‑system approach to the onboarding, induction, education, and experience of Healthcare Assistants.

Successful candidates to this role will be able to access the additional support provided by the HCA Academy following their induction with MSEFT. This includes development opportunities, pastoral support, staff rewards and access to HCA exclusive resources such as the HCA App.

About the role

We are looking to recruit highly motivated staff with a patient focused approach to join our Broomfield Theatres team as a Health Care Assistant (HCA). This role requires an enthusiastic, committed and diligent person who is keen to move into a specialist department, able to work within a dynamic team and will strive to maintain the high standard of care offered to our patients. There will be an on‑call commitment required as part of the post to cover out of hours working.

Opportunities for career progression are available; so, if successful you will start in a Band 2 position, but on completion of your competencies and the health care certificate you will be eligible for a Band 3 position.

If you feel you can work within a fast paced environment delivering high quality care, then we would like to hear from you.

About our Trust

Within the Trust there are 149 GP practices, operating from over 200 sites, forming 27 Primary Care Networks and one Ambulance Trust. There are also three main community and mental health service providers who work together through a community collaborative. We collaborate with other valuable partners, including three Healthwatch organisations, nine voluntary and community sector organisations, and three top tier local authorities, alongside local universities.
