About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Health Care Assistant to support vulnerable adults with their daily living needs. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, person-centred care, promote independence, and maintain dignity at all times.

This role may include working in residential care, supported living, nursing homes, or community settings, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, grooming)
  • Support mobility, including use of hoists and mobility aids
  • Assist with meals and hydration
  • Observe, record and report any changes in service users’ health or behaviour.
  • Support residents with social activities and emotional wellbeing
  • Follow personalised care plans and safeguarding procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality and accurate care documentation
  • Work collaboratively with care teams, nurses and family members
  • Uphold infection control and health & safety standards
Requirements
Essential Requirements
  • Valid Right to Work in the UK
  • Good communication and written English skills
  • Caring, patient and trustworthy attitude
  • Willingness to undertake a DBS check
  • Flexibility to work shifts if required (days / nights / weekends)
Desirable (Not Essential)
  • Previous experience as HCA, Support Worker, Care Assistant
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care
  • Moving & Handling, Medication or First Aid training
