We are hiring for our client, a leading civil engineering business, for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to drive a positive safety culture across multiple projects. The Role
  • Develop, implement, and continually improve health & safety management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, ISO standards and ISO 45001 requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments, site audits and inspections, recommending corrective actions.
  • Lead incident investigations and implement preventive measures.
  • Deliver training, toolbox talks and safety briefings to staff and contractors.
  • Monitor subcontractor compliance and maintain accurate safety records.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, insurers and external stakeholders, reporting to senior management.
The Person
  • NEBOSH/IOSH certification (or equivalent) essential.
  • Proven track record as a Health and Safety Manager within the construction industry (5+ years).
  • Experience managing ISO Management systems is essential.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and influencing skills.
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety legislation and best practice.
