About the Role: Health and Safety Coordinator

The Health and Safety Coordinator plays a key supporting role within the Health and Safety team, providing coordination and support to help with maintaining a safe, compliant, and positive environment for students, staff, and visitors.

This role focuses on supporting Health and Safety across the organisation, taking full ownership of a range of responsibilities which will include managing the audit schedule, documentation, and delivery, as well as supporting internal communication and team or investigatory meetings, ensuring all associated paperwork is prepared and issued. Further to this you'll manage the shared mailbox, produce reports and keep training up to date and tracked.

The role provides an excellent opportunity to develop a career in health and safety within a large and diverse organisation. The Health and Safety Coordinator will contribute to continuous improvement, support the achievement of departmental performance targets, and help embed a strong health and safety culture across the Group.

This is a permanent, part‑time role working 24 hours per week during term‑time (0.55 FTE) across four or five days depending on your preference. This role is hybrid between working from home and our Banbury College Campus, though travel will be required to other sites when required.

What do you need to be successful as a Health and Safety Coordinator at Activate Learning?

You should have excellent interpersonal and ICT skills, and be comfortable producing reports and correspondence and handling documents, particularly noticing inconsistencies or errors. You should be used to achieving performance targets against deadlines.

Experience or a qualification related to health and safety would be highly desirable.
