A consultancy firm is seeking a Health and Safety Consultant/Fire Risk Assessor to conduct audits and risk assessments, assist clients, and prepare documentation. This home-based role requires a NEBOSH qualification and involves nationwide client visits. A full driving license is essential.

Qualifications

Lighthouse Risk Services LLP is a national firm specializing in Health & Safety and Employment Law consultancy, with offices in Leeds. We provide a positive approach to complex areas such as Health and Safety, Employment Law, Fire Risk Assessments, Asbestos Surveys, CDM, and Health & Safety Training.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Health and Safety Consultant/Fire Risk Assessor to support our growing business.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Conducting Health & Safety audits and reviews of safe working practices
  2. Performing Fire Risk Assessments across various properties
  3. Carrying out independent contract site inspections
  4. Assisting with risk assessments and method statements
  5. Preparing safety policy documentation
  6. Conducting safety training courses
  7. Providing support and advice to clients
  8. Assisting with SSIP accreditation applications and tender documentation
  9. Undertaking specialist surveys and assessments (qualification dependent)

The ideal candidate should hold at least a NEBOSH General/Fire Certificate or equivalent. Membership in IOSH or IFE, or a P402 asbestos surveying certificate would be advantageous. Previous experience in providing H&S consultancy or fire risk assessments in a customer-facing environment is desirable.

This role is home-based, with most time spent visiting clients nationwide, which may require occasional overnight stays. A full driving license is essential.
