Health and Safety Advisor

St Helens, Merseyside | £40,000 + Car Allowance and Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen with a well-regarded construction and building services contractor to recruit a Health and Safety Advisor. The business works across the education, healthcare and housing sectors; supporting a number of prestigious clients. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work through 2026, the company is expanding the health and safety team with this newly created role.

Responsibilities
  • Implementing health and safety policies and procedures on site, ensuring compliance and keeping updated with key changes to legislation
  • Visiting site and engaging with site managers, ensuring responsibilities are clear and answering technical Health and Safety related enquires
  • Conducting audits, inspections, and accident investigations. Constantly seeking areas for improvement and development in health and safety performance
Qualifications
  • Experience in a similar role ideally within construction, property or building maintenance
  • Hold a NEBOSH certificate (or equivalent)
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Good communication skills with the ability to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders
  • A UK Driver's license is essential
