We’re looking for a Health and Safety Advisor to join a team based in Basingstoke, covering the local area and occasional wider travel. You’ll play a key role in delivering our new Health, Safety, and Wellbeing strategy, promoting safety leadership, and supporting a positive safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert health and safety advice and coaching to stakeholders to drive improvements.
  • Review and update policies, procedures, and health and safety documentation.
  • Lead and support incident management, including root cause analysis and preventative actions.
  • Conduct audits and inspections, report findings, and assist with risk assessments.
  • Lead projects and initiatives to improve health and safety performance.
  • Design and deliver health and safety training and inductions.
  • Offer advice on office health and safety, including Display Screen Equipment (DSE).

Requirements

  • Relevant health and safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH General Certificate). Housing or construction experience/qualifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience advising on health and safety in property or construction.
  • Skilled in reviewing policies and leading incident investigations.
  • Creative in developing training and engaging stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle, with willingness to travel.
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing by one day per year up to 30 days.
