Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Treasury Manager to lead the Treasury function across the group. This is a senior role focused on optimising financial strength and long-term viability through effective liquidity, cashflow forecasting, funding strategy, and robust treasury governance. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting strategic objectives while ensuring strong financial controls, compliance, and stakeholder confidence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, develop, manage, and inspire a small team of financial professionals to deliver high-quality treasury activities
  • Support the Director of Treasury & Financial Planning in day-to-day treasury management and delivery of strategic initiatives
  • Support funding activities, minimising restrictions and costs while enabling delivery of corporate objectives
  • Take ownership of sustainable and linked funding initiatives, including all associated reporting requirements
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend appropriate funding instruments and derivatives
  • Actively contribute to treasury and funding negotiations, optimising value, flexibility, and suitability
  • Provide effective reporting and analysis to support informed decision-making
  • Own all treasury activities including internal treasury reporting and regulatory submissions
  • Manage cash surpluses to ensure liquidity availability and appropriate investment in line with treasury policy
  • Mitigate counterparty risk through due diligence on funders, investments, and financial institutions
  • Prepare and own Treasury Committee reports, ensuring senior stakeholders are fully supported
  • Lead integration of treasury activities across the group, collaborating with colleagues to achieve shared objectives
  • Optimise security values across the group to maximise funding capacity and strategic delivery
  • Develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships with lenders, regulators, auditors, and other key stakeholders
  • Deputise for the Director of Treasury & Financial Planning as required, including attendance at Treasury Committee
  • Demonstrate organisational values and behaviours in all aspects of the role
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Required
  • AMCT qualified or qualified accountant with a strong treasury background
  • Proven senior leadership experience within treasury or a similar regulated environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing and developing high-performing teams
  • Strong influencing, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience planning succession and developing team capability
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects under tight deadlines
  • Experience operating at senior level within housing or a comparable sector
  • Strong negotiation experience with funders and investors
  • Excellent analytical and financial skills with strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships internally and externally
  • Strong understanding and management of operational and financial risk
  • Extensive experience overseeing operational and financial performance
  • Experience overseeing treasury input into monthly and annual accounting and reporting
