Team and Role Overview

As the Head of Surety & Guarantee for UK & Ireland, you will coordinate and facilitate the Surety business, ensuring alignment with the global Surety strategy. Reporting to the Regional Head of Surety for Northern Europe, with a dotted line to the UK & Ireland CEO, your role encompasses strategy execution across markets, operations, controlling, products, standards, and legal matters

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the Surety and Guarantee growth strategy, including business development plans and portfolio diversification.
  • Approve and facilitate new products, ensuring compliance with business and legal standards.
  • Coordinate and execute large deals within UK & Ireland.
  • Foster a high-performing team through KPIs, new product development, and best practice sharing.
  • Lead change initiatives to drive innovation and improvement in Surety and Guarantee.
  • Conduct business reviews to enhance the Surety business model and share best practices.
  • Support day-to-day Surety solutions and coordinate external business opportunities.
  • Prepare comprehensive management reports and develop management structures to support UK & Ireland responsibilities
Who You Are
  • Extensive knowledge of the Surety community network, reinsurance, competitors, and brokers.
  • Proven expertise in Surety and Guarantee product and market knowledge
  • Ideally, a strong understanding of Allianz Trade Strategy and operating model.
  • Excellent interpersonal, intercultural, and leadership skills.
  • Capable of providing clear verbal and written reports to executives
  • Data Analytics skills
  • Visionary with a focus on market developments and risk management strategies.
  • University degree in Law, Economics, Business Administration, or equivalent.
