Salary / Fee: From £60,000 to £60,000 per annum

Job Type: Full-time 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Responsibilities
  • As Head of Learning, lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver an innovative programme of learning experiences for a wide variety of audiences of all ages.
  • Provide strategic and creative leadership to develop and implement the Learning vision in line with the organisation’s charitable aims and support for audience development.
  • Develop and implement Royal Collection Trust’s learning strategy aligned with audience development goals and the charity’s wider strategy.
  • Shape strategy, oversee world-class programming and measure impact at every touchpoint.
  • Lead planning and delivery of inclusive site-based learning programmes for diverse audiences.
  • Drive the creation and execution of a digital learning framework to extend the Collection’s reach online.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Exhibitions, Curatorial, Visitor Services, and Commercial Development to enhance engagement and secure external funding.
  • Effectively manage budget and delivery to ensure we stay within established KPI’s.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, data protection, accessibility, health and safety, and relevant sector legislation.
  • Lead, motivate and develop a team of 16, encouraging an inclusive culture and championing learning across the Trust.

  • You have proven experience of leading and delivering effective learning strategies with a clear vision.
  • You’re a compassionate leader who inspires professional teams, fosters inclusivity, and builds a culture of excellence.
  • With strong interpersonal skills, you communicate confidently and persuasively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • An agile problem-solver with negotiating and influencing skills, you encourage collaboration to overcome challenges and inspire progress.
  • An up-to-date knowledge of compliance across all areas of learning activity, including safeguarding, will be essential.
  • As an expert in your field, you find value in utilising a broad network of external industry colleagues to enrich programmes and partnerships.
  • Above all, you’ll have a user focus in all you do, which will be the driving force in developing our programming, widening our learning offer and attracting new audiences.
