Biolyz offers a saliva-based biomarker testing service. We provide daily saliva testing with a 24 h turnaround time for over 125+ biomarkers. We leverage biomarkers to predict injuries and performance for professional athletes and teams.

Your Responsibilities

In a nutshell: We are looking for someone to manage a small team of 2-4 lab technicians and LC‑MS scientists. We look for dedication, structure, and having your to-do list under control. This is a hands‑on job that requires 40% management and 60% hands‑on team and infrastructure leadership.

  • Leading and managing the laboratory team of 2-4 people, ensuring efficient workflows to meet tight timelines and release of high‑quality results
  • Hands‑on troubleshooting and maintenance experience with LC‑MS systems
  • Overseeing LC‑MS operations, supporting troubleshooting and method optimization
  • Ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), ownership of quality management system, and active contribution to fulfill regulatory and laboratory health and safety requirements
  • Supervising data analysis and interpretation, ensuring accurate and reliable results
  • Managing laboratory resources, including inventory and Laboratory Information Management System documentation
  • Training and mentoring junior members of staff, fostering professional growth and collaboration
  • Coordinating schedules and prioritising tasks to meet deadlines effectively
  • Driving innovation and continuous improvement in analytical workflows
Your Profile
  • Master's (with minimum of 5-7 years of work experience in private sector) or PhD (with minimum of 2-3 years of work experience in private sector) in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Bioanalytics, or a related field
  • Proven experience in leading a laboratory team in a commercial (preferred) or research setting
  • Strong expertise in LC‑MS techniques (including micro‑LC), including troubleshooting, method development and validation of targeted LC‑MS methods
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and outside organisations
  • Detail‑oriented approach with a focus on quality, compliance, and efficiency
  • Hands‑on experience with LIMS and laboratory inventory management
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Experience with Shimadzu and Sciex Hardware/software is a big plus
