Job summary

A leading scaffolding contractor in Gravesend is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to promote safety standards, support teams, and ensure compliance with health regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a Tech IOSH qualification, strong communication skills, and management experience. This role presents an excellent opportunity to improve safety measures and work closely with operational teams.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of managing a team.
• Ability to draft accurate and complex reports, policies, procedures.
• Good standard of personal presentation.

Responsibilities

• Promote and implement positive health and safety behaviour change within the business.
• Provide support and technical advice and coaching to all Managers, Supervisors and Operatives.
• Work with managers to audit and assess current health and safety standards.
• Conduct annual review of all the policies and procedures.

Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong IT skills (including Email, Word and Excel)

Numerate: able to both produce and analyse statistical information.

Able to encourage and coach individuals.

Driving licence (with no more than 6 points)

Education

Tech IOSH qualification

Holds a current CITB Scaffolders card (Basic or Advanced)
