Job description
Overview

Head of Friendships and Community Connecting is a brand new senior role created to manage and lead the friendship focused services, which aim to promote wellbeing, independence and access to wider support. The post holder will be responsible for a full review and development of volunteering within the organisation and the introduction of a new Care Home Volunteer Visiting service. Working closely with the Leadership and Management team you will be dynamic, bringing innovative ideas to create sustainable services and valuable opportunities in line with Age UK Cambridgeshire and Peterborough’s new strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead our friendship focused services to promote wellbeing, independence and access to wider support.
  • Carry out a full review and development of volunteering within the organisation.
  • Introduce a new Care Home Volunteer Visiting service.
  • Collaborate with the Leadership and Management team to create sustainable services and opportunities in line with the organisation’s strategy.

  • Hours: 35 hours per week
  • Location: Home based with extensive travel
  • Salary: Dependent on experience + benefits
  • Closing date: Tuesday October 14th, 2025
  • Interviews: Monday October 27th, 2025
