The Altro Group are looking for a Head of FP&A to join the Finance team. The Group FP&A team are financial business partners to the senior managers within the Altro Floors & Walls and Autoglym divisions and are responsible for preparing tailored financial reporting and analysis including monthly management accounts, analysis of business performance, annual budgets and 5-year plans. This role leads the FP&A team of 6 Management accountants. This is a full time (37.5 hours a week), permanent, hybrid role (minimum of 3 days a week in our Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire HQ).

Responsibilities

• Lead the FP&A team of 6 Management accountants.
• Act as a financial business partner to senior managers within the Altro Floors & Walls and Autoglym divisions.
• Prepare tailored financial reporting and analysis including monthly management accounts, analysis of business performance, annual budgets and 5-year plans.
• Contribute to financial planning, reporting systems and performance analysis across areas such as sales, margins, manufacturing, inventory and working capital.
• Drive efficiency and accuracy through system implementation and complex group financial reporting (experience with JDE or similar packages is desirable).
• Develop financial models, interpret data, and provide clear, concise insights for decision-making.
• Manage, develop and lead a talented FP&A team, with strong attention to detail and proactive problem solving to ensure deadlines and high-quality delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong background in FP&A with experience in a complex, global commercial environment.
• Professional qualifications such as CIMA, ACA, ACCA, or MBA in Finance.
• Proven track record in managing and optimising financial planning and reporting systems and in preparing detailed management accounts.
• Experience in delivering tailored business performance analysis across areas such as sales, margins, manufacturing, inventory and working capital.
• Experience with system implementation (e.g., JDE or similar) and complex group financial reporting.
• Excellent financial modeling, data interpretation, and communication skills; strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
