This role also is responsible for all finance operations of our recently opened Private Members' Club CoOc, and DAMU wellness retreat.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position based in London for a Head of Finance. The Head of Finance will oversee the financial operations of the hotel, including ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, preparing reports, managing budgets, and providing strategic financial advice. Responsibilities include implementing financial strategies, monitoring financial performance, conducting financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The role is integral to achieving the business objectives and supporting the continued success of The Mandrake

What you'll need:
  • Background in Hotel Finance of a 5* hotel.
  • Proficiency in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Strong Analytical Skills with the ability to assess complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Full understanding of Income Audit, Accounts receivable and Accounts Payable functions in a business, particularly within hospitality
  • Previous experience controlling monthly payroll tasks and approvals
  • Familiarity with dealing with third party suppliers and contracts and being authorised signatory on such agreements
  • Ability to lead and deliver all month end and year end tasks and journals.
  • Experience in Finance and Budgeting, including the development, monitoring, and management of budgets, forecasts and cash flows.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and best practices within the hospitality industry and experience of working with internal and external audits
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are a plus.
  • Prior experience in a similar leadership role within the hospitality or luxury service sector is preferred.
