The successful candidate will need to be an innovative, dynamic and highly motivated teacher to take on the leadership of the Technology Department. You will be leading a talented, hardworking and supportive team of teachers, but you will also have the ability to develop the curriculum moving forward. The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner with a keen interest in developing their leadership skills and innovative pedagogical practices.
We are seeking a candidate who will be ambitious for our students with a passion for influencing curriculum design and innovative practice, and for identifying and developing student potential is key. A keen desire to make a difference and a belief that a good school can and does make a significant difference to students\' life chances and achievement, including the wider skills needed in life.
The Technology Department is embarking on an exciting journey of growth at Bohunt Farnborough. We offer Textiles, Design & Technology and Food Preparation & Nutrition at GCSE and wish to grow this offer further. Our facilities are excellent and the department is ready to flourish in the years ahead and build on its current success.
Bohunt Farnborough continues to go from strength to strength. In 2025, our GCSE results improved once again, continuing a trend of record-breaking outcomes year after year. In 2024, we were proud to be recognised as one of the top 5% most improved schools in the country—a testament to the dedication of our staff, the resilience of our students, and the unwavering support of our families. This momentum was further acknowledged during an Ofsted pilot visit in July, where inspectors praised the rapid progress of the school under their new framework.
