About The Role

Make a real impact – lead our cyber security strategy and protect what matters most. At St Mungo’s we work every day to end homelessness and rebuild lives. We’re looking for an experienced Head of Cyber Security to shape and deliver our security strategy, safeguarding sensitive data and supporting our mission to end rough sleeping for good.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the Information Security function, working with a high‑performing team and embedding best practice across the organisation.
  • Drive compliance and risk reduction, ensuring robust security processes, policies and disaster recovery plans.
  • Manage key partnerships and enhance security services organisation‑wide.
  • Champion a positive security culture, promoting awareness and responsible behaviours among staff.
  • Deliver strategic improvements and continuous security enhancements.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in cyber security leadership, strategy and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of risk management, data protection and information security frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001 is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and problem‑solving skills, with a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  • A passion for making a difference to the lives of those experiencing homelessness.

Location & Working Arrangements

The Central Office is currently based in Tower Hill, London. We plan to relocate in the summer of 2026 and are exploring alternative office locations on the eastern edge of the City of London. We support a flexible approach to work and are open to discussing options for agile/hybrid working.
