Head of Commercial Finance

Location: Lichfield - remote

Hours: 37.5 per week

Are you a strategic finance leader with a passion for driving commercial performance? We’re looking for a Head of Commercial Finance to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of our business.

About the Role

As Head of Commercial Finance, you will lead a team of nine Finance Business Partners, acting as the key interface between financial insights and operational decision‑making. Your mission will be to deliver actionable insights, challenge constructively, and partner with senior leaders to drive profit improvement and transformational growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and deliver a vision for Finance Business Partnering focused on profit improvement and growth.
• Act as a strategic partner between finance and operations, influencing senior stakeholders.
• Provide clear, data‑driven insights to support decision‑making at Executive and SLT level.
• Drive implementation of strategic initiatives through effective governance and communication.
• Lead and develop a high‑performing team of Finance Business Partners.
• Collaborate on budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning with FP&A.
• Promote financial literacy across non‑finance stakeholders through coaching and training.
• Champion our ETHOS values in all aspects of leadership and decision‑making.

About You

• Recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• 810 years of progressive finance experience, including 35 years in a leadership role within a multi‑site or group environment.
• Experience in business partnering, strategic planning, and leading cross‑functional initiatives.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
