Head of Commercial Finance (Interim to Perm) – Nottingham (Office Based) • Full Time
£70,000 to £80,000, depending on experience

We’re looking for an inspiring and commercially astute Head of Commercial Finance who will play a pivotal role in shaping our financial direction and enabling smart, data led decision making across the business. You'll report directly to the Finance Director and lead a team of Management Accountants and Finance Business Partners - empowering them to deliver value, insight and innovation every step of the way. You'll be a key player in strategic decisions, a trusted commercial partner, and a mentor to a growing team. Responsibilities

• Lead the production of clear, insightful management accounts and performance analysis
• Own the end to end planning cycle: budgeting, forecasting and long term strategic planning
• Oversee robust balance sheet reconciliations and accurate income recognition
• Manage cash settlements and ensure compliance with revenue recognition policies
• Support both internal and external audits
• Collaborate on VAT and customs compliance
• Drive commercial performance through strategic business partnering with key stakeholders
• Enhance financial systems, controls and processes while fostering team development

Experience Required

• A fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with 5+ years post qualification experience
• Demonstrated leadership experience - someone who leads by example and inspires others
• Strong analytical mindset with the confidence to challenge and interrogate the detail
• Exceptional communication and influencing skills, comfortable at all levels of the business
• A proactive, collaborative leader who thrives in a dynamic, performance driven culture
