A government body in the United Kingdom is seeking a candidate to provide support to the South East and Eastern Area Directorate. The role involves traveling to prison establishments and probation units weekly, contributing to project work, and being available for unsocial hours. The position offers hybrid working arrangements and comes with a competitive salary range of £78,587 – £86,446, along with various benefits including training opportunities and pension schemes.
This role supports the South East and Eastern (SEE) Area Directorate. You will travel to prison establishments and probation units within the region as part of your weekly responsibilities and contribute to project work as set out by the Area Executive Director for SEE. The MoJ offers Hybrid Working arrangements where business need allows. This is an informal, non-contractual form of flexible working that blends working from your base location, different MoJ sites and / or from home. You will only work in the UK and not overseas. Arrangements will be discussed and agreed with the successful candidate(s) and subject to regular review.
The national salary range is £78,587 – £86,446, London salary range is £81,601 – £91,487. Annual leave is calculated on a pro‑rata basis and you will be advised of your actual entitlement on appointment. The holiday year runs from 1 March. You are entitled to 9 days (66 hours 36 minutes) in recognition of bank, public and privilege holidays, which are added to your annual leave allowance. The Civil Service offers two pension schemes for you to choose from. HMPPS offers flexible working subject to completion of a satisfactory probationary period. You are eligible to apply for a season ticket advance after two months' service for travel between home and your place of work. Training and development opportunities are available across a range of areas including equality and diversity, dealing with challenging behaviour, suicide prevention and anti‑bullying programmes.
