Head of Applications - Broking

Our client, a Broker, are seeking a Head of Applications to lead the strategy, architecture and performance of the application landscape across the company. This is a hands‑on leadership role, ideal for someone with broking platform experience and a passion for driving transformation in a fast‑paced environment.

This is a permanent role paying circa £115,000 + bonus and benefits and requires 2-3 days a week in their London office.

Experience required

• Define and lead the group‑wide application strategy and roadmap.
• Own application architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
• Oversee core broking systems (policy admin, claims, CRM).
• Lead integration and customer portal initiatives.
• Partner with business and tech stakeholders to manage demand and prioritise delivery.
• Drive legacy system replacement and digital transformation.
• Champion SDLC and DevOps best practices.
• Build and lead a high‑performing applications team.
• Manage vendor relationships and contracts.
