An education support organization is seeking a Head of Alternative Provision in Nottingham to lead their education team and ensure high-quality alternative education delivery for young people affected by crime. Responsibilities include managing a team of tutors, ensuring compliance with policies, and building relationships with schools and families. Ideal candidates will have effective leadership skills, safeguarding knowledge, and a passion for supporting young people. At Switch Up, we provide individual, life‑changing support to young people in communities affected by crime and violence. Through sport, mentoring, alternative education and personal development, we help young people improve their mental and physical wellbeing, build confidence and realise their full potential.
We work with some of the most disadvantaged and hard‑to‑reach young people, many of whom have struggled in mainstream education due to exclusion, SEMH needs, SEN, trauma or complex life circumstances. Our Alternative Provision plays a vital role in supporting young people to move “Over The Bridge” into positive outcomes in education, training or employment.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Switch Up as Head of Alternative Provision, a senior role responsible for leading our education team, overseeing high‑quality alternative education delivery and ensuring strong safeguarding, compliance and outcomes.
