Overview

The Peninsula London is seeking a Head Bartender to work within our Brookalands Bar and is responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the Bar, while ensuring exceptional levels of Food and Beverage service and team engagement. This senior position requires creativity and knowledge to curate a market leading beverage offering.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for creating and delivering a unique beverage offering. Ensuring the team is trained and consistently delivering on high levels of service.
  • Always ensure the delivery of exceptional guest service in accordance with the Peninsula Service Principles with a genuine approach.
  • Understand all beverage items ordered, including ingredients, methods of preparation and proper service. Ensure that the suppliers are reputable and delivering consistently on quality.
  • Proactively participate in hotel activities and training, ensuring the roster management allows for the team to participate also.
  • Establish and maintain positive guest and colleague interactions with productive working relationships.
  • Exceptional beverage knowledge, with ability to formulate cocktail menus using quality ingredients with at least 2 years in a similar position.
Qualifications
  • WSET level 2 preferred.
  • Experience within a luxury bar supervising and leading a team.
  • Financial acumen and software systems experience.
  • Friendly and positive with a flexible approach and ability to work under pressure.
