Job summary

JD Gyms Bradford is seeking a Duty Manager to help run the club day-to-day, delivering a safe, welcoming experience for members while supporting the management team.

You will lead a small team, manage opening/closing, ensure cleanliness, safety checks, and drive membership and revenue growth through excellent service. This role requires a Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification and a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or supporting teams in a leisure or customer-focused setting.
• Strong commitment to member service and ability to coach colleagues.
• Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification or equivalent.
• Experience driving membership growth and commercial objectives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day running of the club, including opening/closing duties.
• Adopt flexible hours, including mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and company procedures.
• Maintain JD Gyms brand standards across the club.
• Perform safety checks and report defects to keep facilities safe.
• Support membership growth and achievement of revenue targets.
• Maintain high cleanliness standards and support staff in deliveries.
• Represent JD Gyms values in all member interactions.
