Job summary

JD Gyms Bradford is seeking a Duty Manager to support the day-to-day operation of the club. You will help maintain high standards and ensure members have a safe, welcoming and positive experience during every visit.

Working with the management team, you will contribute to achieving membership and commercial objectives while ensuring the club operates safely, efficiently and in line with JD Gyms standards. The role requires a flexible approach to hours and a strong focus on service.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or supporting colleagues in leisure, fitness, hospitality or customer-focused environments.
• Strong commitment to member service and ability to coach and develop colleagues.
• Qualified to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day club operations, including opening and closing duties.
• Adopt flexible hours including early mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and company procedures.
• Maintain JD Gyms Brand Standards across the facility.
• Conduct safety checks and address any defects to keep equipment safe.
• Support achievement of membership, revenue and commercial targets.
• Identify opportunities to grow secondary revenue streams.
• Keep the gym clean and well-maintained.
• Support assistants in maintaining cleanliness across all areas.
• Uphold professional appearance and uniform standards.
• Deliver outstanding member service through positive interactions.
• Represent JD Gyms values in all interactions.
